On May 4, 2025 the New York City AIDS Memorial presented choreographer Molissa Fenley’s Bardo, a dance work first conceived as an homage to artist Keith Haring that premiered at Haring’s memorial service 35 years ago to the day. EVENT:
QUILT-MAKING WORKSHOPS

On March 28 & 29, 2025, we held AIDS Memorial Quilt-Making Workshops with the School of Visual Art where we created several new panels honoring the lives of creative New Yorkers and SVA alumni. Dozens of artists, designers, activists, volunteers, family, and community members engaged in cross-generational conversation, continuing the intention of the activists who first imagined the Quilt.

EVENT:
BROADWAY REVISITED

On March 3, 2025, Broadway stars gathered for a benefit cabaret for the New York City AIDS Memorial at Joe’s Pub. Hosted by Tony Goldwyn and directed by Rob Ashford, the evening featured a dazzling musical review of Broadway’s hidden gems, current moments, and future classics, with all proceeds supporting the Memorial’s upcoming educational and cultural programs.

Visit the Memorial

The New York City AIDS Memorial is located at the corner of Greenwich Avenue and West 12 Street in New York’s historic West Village.

By Subway/Bus

Take the 1 2 3 F or M trains to 14th Street, the L train to 6th or 8th Avenue, or the A C or E trains to 8th Avenue. Nearest buses: M7, 14A, 14D, and M20. Learn more at the MTA→

By Bicycle

Bicycle parking is available nearby. CitiBike stations are located at Perry Street & Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich Avenue & 8th Avenue, and West 13 Street & 7th Avenue

Parking

There is no official parking available at the New York City AIDS Memorial, but there are multiple paid parking and street parking locations in the surrounding neighborhood
