OUT OF THE

DARKNESS

WORLD AIDS DAY: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2023, 6 PM

Co-presented with American Run for the End of AIDS (AREA), Charner Transformative Communications, International AIDS Prevention Initiative (IAPI), Keith Haring Foundation, NYC AIDS Memorial, and St. John’s Lutheran Church

On Friday, December 1, 2023, at 6 PM, the New York City AIDS Memorial will host the 32nd Annual Out of the Darkness World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil and Gathering beginning at 6 PM at the New York City AIDS Memorial.

At the close of the vigil around 6:30 PM, attendees are invited to continue to St. John’s Lutheran Church at 81 Christopher Street for further programming with additional speakers and performers, under the theme “Leading With Kindness.”

Organized by activists Brent Nicholson Earle, Jeff Bosacki, Robert Gonzalez, and Barbara Martinez, Out of the Darkness was founded by the American Run for the End of AIDS (AREA) with co-sponsors Charner Transformative Communication, International AIDS Prevention Initiative (IAPI), Keith Haring Foundation, NYC AIDS Memorial, and St. John’s Lutheran Church.
